Prepare for washing machine transport

Turn off water and electricity to the machine. Run an empty wash on the highest spin cycle to drain remaining water from the drum. Clean the filter and disconnect the drain hose — have a towel ready for spillage. Roll up the power cable and tape it in place. If you have the transit bolts that came with the machine — fit them (they protect the drum during transport). Make sure there is clear passage through doors, corridors and stairwells. Have entry codes and keys ready for both addresses.

There we carry in and place it in the laundry room. No need to rent a car or ask the seller for help carrying — we handle everything. Taking the washing machine and dryer to your new home? We disconnect water and electricity, carry out through the basement or laundry room, load the van and drive to your new address. There we carry in and place everything where you want it. Washing machines need extra care during transport — they're heavy, have sensitive electronics and the drum needs securing to avoid damage during driving. Our young workers are trained to handle washing machines correctly. Combine with our moving help service if you have more items to move.

• Hand truck & straps We use professional hand trucks and carrying straps that distribute weight evenly — safe on stairs and in tight spaces.
• Protective blankets The machine is wrapped in protective blankets so that neither the product nor your walls, floors and door frames are damaged.
• Transit bolts If transit bolts are available we fit them to lock the drum during transport — this protects the suspension.
• Disconnection & connection We disconnect water and electricity at pickup and can connect at delivery if plumbing is in place.
• Insurance All transports are insured. If anything is damaged we replace it.
