Prepare for your auction delivery

Make sure the auction item is fully paid for and ready for pickup. Check the auction house's pickup deadline – most give three to five business days before storage fees begin. Have your customer number or lot number ready so our team can identify the right item at pickup. Let us know if the item is particularly fragile, heavy or unusually shaped – we will adapt protective materials and crew. Measure doorways and stairwells at home if the item is large. Check that the van can park close to your entrance. The more information you provide when booking, the smoother and safer the delivery.

Delivering antique furniture from auctions

Antique furniture is the most common item we pick up from auction houses. A Gustavian dresser, an Art Nouveau cabinet or a large solid oak dining table – they often weigh 50–150 kg and come without packaging. Driving yourself with a rented trailer means serious risk of scratches, dents and moisture damage. With Ungdomskraft's auction delivery, we pick up your furniture directly at the auction house. We protect every surface with soft blankets, tape down loose parts like drawers and handles, and secure everything with straps in the van. We drive carefully, avoiding hard braking that could shift the load. At your home we carry in through stairwells and doors and place the piece exactly where you want it.

Delivering art and fragile items from auctions

Art and fragile collectibles require extra care during transport. An oil painting with a gilded frame can weigh 20–40 kg and cannot tolerate impacts, moisture or pressure on the canvas. Bronze, marble or ceramic sculptures are heavy and sensitive to blows. Crystal, porcelain and glass can break with the slightest rough movement. We protect art with bubble wrap, corner guards and soft blankets. Paintings are always transported standing – never lying with weight on the frame. Sculptures are secured individually so they cannot shift during the drive. Porcelain and crystal are packed in boxes with shock-absorbing material. We carry in and place at your home – on the wall, on the pedestal or in the display cabinet.

Pickup deadlines and storage fees at auction houses

Most auction houses give you three to five business days to collect your winning item after the invoice is paid. After that, storage fees start – often SEK 50–200 per day depending on the item's size. Some auction houses send items back to auction if not collected within the specified time. With Ungdomskraft you avoid the stress. Book your delivery as soon as you receive the pickup notification – we can often drive the same day or the next day. You enter the auction house address, your lot number and preferred time. We handle the pickup and deliver home before the deadline expires.

Which auction houses do we pick up from?

We pick up from all auction houses in Stockholm and Gothenburg – both physical and online auctions with local pickup. The most common are PS Auktion, Bukowskis, Stockholms Auktionsverk, Uppsala Auktionskammare, Budi, Auctionet and Klaravik. But we pick up from any auction house – just enter the address when booking. We also pick up items from galleries, antique shops and private sales if you need transport of valuable objects.
