The Antique Furniture & Crafts department at Stockholms Auktionsverk offers furniture from the 16th to 20th century – Gustavian dressers, Rococo cabinets, Empire writing desks, Art Nouveau furniture and much more. These items are often heavy (50–200 kg), come without packaging and have surfaces sensitive to scratches and impacts. Transporting them in your own car or with a rented trailer means significant risk. With Ungdomskraft, we pick up your antique furniture directly at Nybrogatan 32 or Magasin 5. We wrap every surface with soft blankets, tape down loose parts like drawers and handles, and secure everything with straps. We drive carefully and avoid hard braking. At your home we carry in through stairwells and doors and place the piece exactly where you want it.

Stockholms Auktionsverk has four art departments: Modern Art, Contemporary Art, Older & Classical Art and Asian Art & Crafts. Everything from Swedish masterpieces and international works to sculptures in bronze, marble and ceramics is auctioned here. An oil painting with a gilded frame can weigh 20–40 kg and cannot tolerate impacts, moisture or pressure on the canvas. We protect art with bubble wrap, corner guards and soft blankets. Paintings are always transported standing – never lying. Sculptures are secured individually. We carry in and place at your home – on the wall, on the pedestal or in the display cabinet. Bought multiple works at the same auction? We collect everything in one trip and protect each piece separately.

Delivering design, jewellery and silver

The Design department offers furniture, lighting and interiors by renowned designers – Bruno Mathsson, Josef Frank, Alvar Aalto, Hans Wegner and many more. Design furniture requires careful handling as surfaces are often in sensitive materials like leather, teak or lacquered wood. Jewellery, watches and silver objects are smaller but can have very high value. We transport them securely in the van, protected from impacts and moisture. Silver candelabras, cutlery sets and trays are packed individually. If you have won a combination of items – for example a design armchair, a painting and a silver set – we collect everything at once and adapt the protection for each item type.

Stockholms Auktionsverk has two main pickup locations in Stockholm. Nybrogatan 32 in central Östermalm is the main auction hall where most quality auctions are held. Magasin 5 in Frihamnen is used for online auctions and larger-volume viewings. Enter the correct address when booking – it is listed in your collection information from the Auction House.
