Preparing for sofa transport

Measure the sofa and doorways — especially width, height and depth. Check whether the sofa comes apart in sections (many corner sofas do) — that makes transport easier. Remove cushions and loose parts and put them in a bag or box. If legs can be unscrewed, do so — it reduces the height. Make sure there is clear access in stairwells and corridors. Check that the van can park close to the entrance at both the pickup and delivery address. If you bought the sofa from a private seller, confirm the time and address with them before booking.
