Confirm the exact time and address with the seller — and that the item is ready for pickup when we arrive. Make sure the door code and floor number are correct. If the furniture needs disassembling, ask the seller whether it's already taken apart or if we should do it on site. Have your home address and any door codes ready. Check that there is clear access through doorways and stairwells at both ends. Measure doorways and stairwells if the piece is large — a wardrobe or corner sofa may need disassembling to get out. The more information you provide when booking, the smoother the pickup will be.

Pick up furniture from Blocket without your own car

The most common barrier to Blocket purchases is transport. The furniture looks perfect in the photos, the price is right — but then you realise it won't fit in your car, the seller lives on the fifth floor with no lift, or you simply can't carry a 90-kilo sofa. We collect from the seller, disconnect if needed, carry out and load securely with straps and blankets. We use hand trucks and sack barrows when needed to navigate tight spaces.
