Prepare for bed transport

Remove all bedding, pillows and covers. If the bed has a headboard — unscrew it if you can, otherwise we will do it. Disassemble bed frames (screws in a labelled bag) if you want to save time. Make sure there is clear passage in stairwells and lifts — measure doorways if you know the bed is large. Have entry codes and lift keys ready at both addresses. If it's a continental bed with separate parts — leave them in place, we carry out piece by piece.

Continental beds — how we handle the heavy transport

A continental bed is one of the heaviest and most unwieldy items to transport. Base mattress, top mattress, mattress pad, headboard and sometimes legs — everything needs to come out, down and into a van. We've moved hundreds of continental beds and know exactly how it's done. We carry out piece by piece, protect each part with furniture blankets so fabric isn't scratched in the stairwell, load smartly in the van so nothing slides and deliver everything to the right room at the delivery address. Bed transport from stores and e-commerce

Ordered a new bed from IKEA, Mio, JYSK or an online retailer but the delivery doesn't suit you? We collect the packages from the store or receive them at your door and carry them to the bedroom. We also assemble bed frames, adjustable beds and headboards if you like. This works even if you bought a bed in a physical store and can't get it delivered — enter the store address as the pickup location when booking.
